Titanic: The Top Grosser Movie Of All Time

I never imagined when 20th Century Fox and Paramount Pictures launched the movie Titanic in 1997 that it would become a great hit. Now this is declared as the top grosser movie of all time with a whooping gross return of $600,788,188.

Titanic is the story of the fictional characters of Jack Dawson played by Leonardo DiCaprio and the young Rose DeWitt Bukater palyed by Kate Winslet. They are passengers of Titanic, an Olympic-class passenger liner that had its voyage and was hit by an iceberg on the night of April 14, 1912. The story began with a team of explorer led by Brock Lovett played by Bill Paxton tried to explore a treasure which is a necklace set with a valuable blue diamond called the Heart of the Ocean. They were unsuccessful and instead they found a drawing of of a young woman reclining nude, wearing the Heart of the Ocean, dated the day the Titanic sank. The One-hundred-and-one-year-old Rose Dawson Calvert played by Gloria Stuart learns about the drawing and she contacted Lovett and informed him that she is the lady in the drawing. She started telling her story and her experience in the sunken ship Titanic.

The OST entitled "My Heart Will Go On" was a hit and was sung non-other than Celine Dion.

When I saw the movie, I was amazed by the great production, the characters are at its finest clothes, which contributed to the success of the film. In addition, the love story between Jack and Rose, I must say is the core thing of the movie and what people watched for. The only question is, what film can replace Titanic on the top spot?
